Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Center for American & European Studies and the Center for Science & Technology are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2nd National Conference "Women in Science, Art, Business and Public Life"

WHEN? The conference will be held on Friday, July 4, 2025 between 4:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. online on the Microsoft Teams platform. The length of the conference depends on the number of speakers. In the event of a high number of applications, we reserve the right to extend the conference to Saturday, July 5, 2025.

WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE ABOUT? The aim of the conference is to discuss the achievements, challenges and opportunities that women face (and have faced) in various spheres of life, such as science, art, business, work, politics, public life and home life. We will address these issues from both a historical and contemporary perspective. The conference is a place for dialogue between representatives of social sciences and humanities, as well as exact, natural and engineering-technical sciences.

EXAMPLE TOPICS → Gender differences in the workplace → Achievements and innovations of women in scientific research → Gender stereotypes in the past and present → Social activity and women's philanthropy → Initiatives supporting girls' education → Nobel Prize winners and outstanding authorities → The theme of women in art and literature → Social activism → Artistic expression from a female perspective → Outstanding female business leaders → The role of women in social development → The history of women's emancipation → Challenges and initiatives of female entrepreneurs → Gender equality in the legal aspect → The impact of digitalization on women's lives → Women's participation in political life → The greatest achievements of female artists → The role of women in environmental protection → Challenges related to gender differences in the IT sector → Feminists in language Polish → Famous female biologists, geographers, engineers, chemists, physicists

The above-mentioned thematic areas are only examples – we strongly encourage you to go beyond them. In addition, the presentations can be interdisciplinary in nature, combining various fields of science. We do not censor presentations for political or ideological reasons. Original and unconventional presentations will always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.

We accept presentations in Polish and English. Presentations can be based on your own or someone else's research (review of achievements and literature), as well as take the form of case studies. Presentations in the form of a poster are also accepted.
