Dear Sirs,
The Center for European Studies and the Center for American Studies invite you to participate in the 5th International Scientific Conference "Contemporary Problems and Challenges of Europe. Legal, Political, Economic and Social Aspects".
When?
The conference will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 between 9:00 and 16:00 online on the Microsoft Teams platform.
The length of the conference depends on the number of speakers. In the event of a high number of applications, we reserve the right to extend the conference to Sunday, April 20, 2025.
What is the conference about?
The main assumption of the conference is to discuss contemporary and historical problems and challenges of Europe of a political, legal, economic and social nature.
Both history and the 21st century are a period for Europe marked by many multi-level (local, regional and global) problems and conflicts.
The organizers would like to discuss, among others: the rule of law crisis in Europe, the legal and political systems of selected European countries, the consequences of Brexit, as well as the social and economic situation.
Proposed (example) thematic areas
- the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on relations in Europe
- the consequences of Brexit for Poles
- the values of the European Union - do they still have a reason to exist?
- the fight against terrorism
- Europe for the climate
- relations between European countries
- human rights in selected European countries
- new “enlargements” of the European Union
- relations of the European Union with great powers
- political trends within the European Union
The above thematic areas are only examples - we strongly encourage you to go beyond them.
Presentations may also be interdisciplinary in nature, combining various fields of science.
We believe in the freedom of academic discussion and do not censor presentations for ideological or political reasons.
Original and unconventional presentations will always be appreciated by the Scientific Committee.

Presentations in the following languages are accepted:

Ukrainian
The panels (sessions) within the conference will be arranged according to the above-mentioned languages.

We cordially invite students and PhD students, experienced researchers, industry practitioners, as well as all other people interested in the conference topics to actively participate in the conference.
Passive participation does not require any scientific qualifications.
